JOB SUMMARY:
Represent the company in a professional manner with customers, coworkers, employees and any person directly or indirectly associated with the company.  Responsible for managing the entire administrative and field construction process of a project from initial planning through final acceptance by client to assure the project comes in safely, on schedule and on budget.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The following list contains the core key responsibilities of a Superintendent:
1.	Plan, organize and execute projects successfully.
•	Use ECA’s Pre-Construction Planning Process consistently to bring quality work in ahead of schedule
•	Familiarize yourself with all aspects of project prior to project mobilization
•	Understand the company’s scope of work and quantify any discrepancies
•	Plan specific daily work activities well in advance
•	Plan the demobilization of a project as much as the mobilization
•	Review and understand Specifications, Plans, Estimate and Strategy, and any other applicable reports or project information
•	Review project design by checking for conflicts, deviations from Company’s standards, and other general construction issues and offering recommendations when applicable
•	Work with Estimating/Sales/Project Management in procuring project documents, plans etc. through formal handover meeting
•	Work with PM’s and Estimating/Sales Departments to finalize the budget and project goals
•	Coordinate crew assignments with PM and HR
•	Coordinate equipment, material and consumables with the Construction Services Manager
•	Ensure that all necessary materials have been delivered to the jobsite or loaded into construction trailer
•	Coordinate and monitor material deliveries
•	Create a comprehensive inventory of received materials and verify that all materials ordered have been delivered to the jobsite
•	Ensure punch list is performed and all closeout procedures are completed
•	Send all QC and project paper work to project manager within 24 hours after project has been completed
•	Develop a comprehensive production schedule and production reporting from site work to final acceptance
•	Prepare, submit to office and continuously update a two week look ahead plan
•	Update the schedule on a weekly basis
•	Attend final close-out meeting and secure project sign-off on ECA Completion Report


2.	Effective communication with all parties.
•	Coordinate crew assignments with PM and HR
•	Coordinate equipment, material and consumables with the Construction Services Manager
•	Communicate productivity goals to the field technicians who will execute the work
•	With respect to design revisions, communicate changes immediately to the office and crew
•	Prepare and email daily Production Reports
•	Inform PM of any foreseen project conflicts.
•	Report quality problems (including all DS failures) to the PM within 24 hours of occurrence with written reports and including corrective actions
•	Provide feedback to Estimating and Project Manager on cost variance specifics for trend analysis and corrective actions
•	Communicate the updated schedule with the customer / third party engineer on a daily / weekly basis
3.	Enforce protocols and standards in all areas (safety, specifications, paperwork, etc.).
•	Take ultimate responsibility for enforcing safe working conditions at all times
•	Monitor site safety
•	Implement, exercise, and enforce safety rules
•	Report accidents immediately per protocol
•	Document safety meetings and send to the office weekly
•	Contribute to safety guidelines and procedures
•	Accidents and emergency management
•	Establish and ensure compliance with all quality control standards and procedures
•	Facilitate compliance with all construction documents and Company standards
•	Email or send all paperwork weekly: expenses reports, time sheets and equipment inventory
•	Review, compile and save all paper work throughout the project and turn in a complete package at the end of the project
•	Superintendent must report daily to the PM/Office while assigned to a project 
•	Superintendent must report daily to the office while not assigned to a project
•	E-mail daily reports at the end of each day
•	Check and reply to e mails, text and phone calls daily
•	Notify the PM about vacation or time-off plans no less than 4 weeks ahead of time for construction planning and forecasting needs
•	Report any company policy violations as soon as becoming aware of them
•	Prevent unauthorized use of vehicles and equipment
•	Care for all company property and equipment (including rentals)
•	Have a well-organized training method for developing new hires into qualified technicians
4.	Deliver projects on budget and on time.
•	Use ECA’s Pre-Construction Planning Process consistently to bring quality work in ahead of schedule
•	Work with PM/Estimating/Sales to finalize the budget and project goals
•	Continually monitor anticipated time / cost to complete
•	Review all design revisions for added cost and impact to ongoing work in the field
•	Manage on-site project expenses: materials, fuel, labor, overtime, hours paid, supplies and tools
5.	Internal and external customer satisfaction.
•	Communicate the updated schedule with the customer / third party engineer on a daily / weekly basis
•	Maintain good client relationships
•	Attend final close-out meeting and secure project sign-off on ECA Completion Report
•	Resolve problems, disputes, and open issues on a timely basis
•	Attend project meetings, site meetings, and inspections as required
•	Always represent ECA in a professional manner
•	Motivate work force by communicating goals, setting expectations and providing constructive feedback
•	Hold employees accountable for acceptable performance while offering praise and recognition when appropriate
•	Treat employees with respect and avoid favoritism
•	Avoid detrimental/negative comments towards any employee of the company including field and office
•	Support the company’s decisions through your words and actions
•	Set an example by demonstrating strong leadership and management with employees, customers and supervisors
•	Respond to any employee questions or concerns timely and professionally
•	Spend 80-90% of work day in the working area directly supervising the work and employees
•	Never leave the site while the crew is still working unless it is unavoidable




Responsibilities while not assigned to a project:
•	Report to the office daily
•	Help coordinating or executing different tasks such as special fabrication or projects
•	Work with the office personnel to finalize paper work associated with completed projects.
•	Spend time learning new skills
•	Work with estimating and project management reviewing completed and upcoming projects
•	Develop new ways to improve field operations
•	Perform other duties as requested by the President/VP, PM, or Senior Management.
     
The main reporting location for this position will be at ECA’s corporate office in Anaheim, CA.  In addition, the position may require travel to any job site where needed.  Job sites, because they are not shielded from the weather, can include excessive heat, cold, wind, rain and other weather-related aspects.  At times, work will be conducted on uneven terrain, at heights and near/over water.

JOB PURPOSE: Construction laborers perform a variety of tasks at all kinds of construction sites.  They may include cleaning and preparing a job site, loading and unloading materials, and using a variety of tools and machines such as blowtorches, forklifts, lifts, grinders, equipment. They help the Seaming Technicians to weld the liner together by rolling out the liner and placing sandbags to prevent movement.   
 
REPORTS TO:  Project Superintendent 
 
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following list contains many of the duties to be performed but is not all inclusive: 25% Maneuver and control the seaming apparatus - controlling speed, temperature and pressure to produce high quality geomembrane seams that meet the requirements of the Project Specifications. 25% Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs. (seaming, materials deployment, testing equipment and associated tools). 25% Deploy liner and place sandbags to prevent movement.  5% Safely assure that all equipment/materials are installed over all terrains, and properly test overlaps and seams in compliance with ECA standards. 5% Assist in testing all seams produced utilizing appropriate IAGI and ASTM standards – document results. 5% Must deliver/pick-up equipment, materials and other supplies in a timely fashion; 5% Responsible for routine maintenance, lubricating, and servicing of their seaming device. 5% Organize products and materials on jobsite for seaming, testing and approval. 
 
PREREQUISITES: Applicant must meet the following requirements and standards: 1. General construction laborers must have physical strength, hand-eye coordination, and endurance.  2. Laborers must also be able to concentrate on their tasks and have the ability to understand and communicate information. 3. Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions 4. Drug/Alcohol free (Drug tests will be performed regularly) 5. Must have reliable transportation and show up to work on time every day. 6. Must be willing to travel to any and all job sites without exception (including staying away from home if necessary). 7. Ability to perform all job functions in a safe manner in order to avoid personal injury and equipment damage. 8. Must be willing to comply with all company safety and personnel policies. 

 9. Must be able to climb, bend, stoop, kneel, lift overhead, work at heights, walk/work in rough terrain in order to access equipment, tools, materials, and job site in order to complete work. 10. Must be able to work the hours necessary in order to achieve the goals of the company. 
 
THE WORK ENVIRONMENT The main reporting location for work will be at ECA Jobsites.   In addition, the position will be required to travel to any job site where needed so out of state travel is mandatory.  Job sites, because they are not shielded from the weather, can include excessive heat, cold, wind, rain and other weather-related aspects.  General Construction Laborers are required to work outside in all kinds of weather or in buildings without heating or air conditioning.  At times, work will be conducted on uneven terrain, at heights and near/over water. Some tasks are dangerous, including walking up and down slopes in inclement weather.

REPORTS TO:  Vice President

JOB PURPOSE: To Partner and Support the field Superintendents to make their job easier to to complete projects with a 100% safety record. Conduct field safety compliance audits and site training. Use impeccable customer service skills to communicate with all ECA team members and customer/personnel that will be giving direction at job sites. Safety Training and certifications for OSHA and MSHA. Utilize ECA quality control standards and testing procedures as well as testing using the appropriate methods (ASTM) to yield results exceeding the requirements of the Project Specifications. Ensure a high-quality geomembrane installation that meets project specifications for each project.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safety
•	Set, enforce, audit, and train employees ECA company safety standards. 
•	Conduct regular training to cover pertinent aspects of the company health and safety plan, new rules, and safe work practices.
•	Regular inspection to identify improvements and documentation of all company work sites, addressing safety violations, concerns, and unsafe conditions or practices.
•	Maintain near miss action plan to proactively prevent more serious safety problems. 
•	Avoid conflicts with Superintendents and allow their supervisor to communicate corrections.
•	Immediately notify their direct supervisor of any imminent danger or safety violations or concerns. Request activities paused until agreement is reached on safely proceeding. Discuss concerns with your supervisor any work activity that is not being performed to the ECA safety standards. 
•	Minimize government citations by taking the point of view that following the regulations is one of the key components of protecting our employees. Minimizing citations also prevents fines and distractions/resources.


•	Must be able to recognize a hazard and assess what is needed to correct or eliminate the hazard.
•	Ensure OSHA and MSHA compliance.
•	Perform other duties as assigned.

Quality Control 
•	Set, enforce, audit and train quality control standards.
•	Field QC audits and training of QC technicians.
•	Attend and lead weekly QC meetings.
•	Responsible for review of all QC Tech weekly reporting of job QC progress and as built drawings.
•	Learn every aspect of liner systems quality control and specification.
•	Immediately notify their direct supervisor of any problems or deviations from the design plans, specifications, or ECA QA/QC Program. 
•	Report to the Project Management team, at a minimum weekly, submitting ECA weekly operations paperwork required. 
•	Delegate the responsibility for filling out such required paperwork but will retain responsibility for ensuring the forms are complete, accurate and submitted timely. 
•	Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicant must meet the following requirements and standards:
1.	Must be able to efficiently operate a computer and all basic Office programs.
2.	Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate in both English and Spanish.
3.	Must have and maintain resume of successfully completed projects with direct participation exceeding IAGI experience qualifications (3 years / 3,000,000SF).
4.	Understand geomembrane lining systems and be proficient in the discussion of how the intended outcome will be met utilizing the equipment provided.
5.	Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
6.	Must provide demonstration of ability to consistently produce field seaming that meets the Project Specification requirements.
7.	Drug/Alcohol free (Drug tests will be performed regularly).
8.	Must have knowledge and ability to conduct maintenance on ECA utilized seaming equipment (including a general knowledge of IAGI standards, Safety regulations and General Construction Safety while working around and near heavy equipment).
9.	Must have reliable transportation and show up to work on time every day.
10.	Frequent travel to all ECA job sites without exception, including overnight stays, as necessary.
11.	Ability to perform all job functions in a safe manner reducing risks of personal injury and equipment damage.
12.	Must be willing to comply with all company safety and personnel policies.
