  1. Construction Traveling Liner Technician JOB PURPOSE: Construction laborers perform a variety of tasks at all kinds of construction sites. They may include cleaning and preparing a job site, loading and unloading materials, and using a variety of tools and machines such as blowtorches, forklifts, lifts, grinders, equipment. They help the Seaming Technicians to weld the liner together by rolling out the liner and placing sandbags to prevent movement. REPORTS TO: Project Superintendent ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following list contains many of the duties to be performed but is not all inclusive: 25% Maneuver and control the seaming apparatus - controlling speed, temperature and pressure to produce high quality geomembrane seams that meet the requirements of the Project Specifications. 25% Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs. (seaming, materials deployment, testing equipment and associated tools). 25% Deploy liner and place sandbags to prevent movement. 5% Safely assure that all equipment/materials are installed over all terrains, and properly test overlaps and seams in compliance with ECA standards. 5% Assist in testing all seams produced utilizing appropriate IAGI and ASTM standards – document results. 5% Must deliver/pick-up equipment, materials and other supplies in a timely fashion; 5% Responsible for routine maintenance, lubricating, and servicing of their seaming device. 5% Organize products and materials on jobsite for seaming, testing and approval. PREREQUISITES: Applicant must meet the following requirements and standards: 1. General construction laborers must have physical strength, hand-eye coordination, and endurance. 2. Laborers must also be able to concentrate on their tasks and have the ability to understand and communicate information. 3. Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions 4. Drug/Alcohol free (Drug tests will be performed regularly) 5. Must have reliable transportation and show up to work on time every day. 6. Must be willing to travel to any and all job sites without exception (including staying away from home if necessary). 7. Ability to perform all job functions in a safe manner in order to avoid personal injury and equipment damage. 8. Must be willing to comply with all company safety and personnel policies. 9. Must be able to climb, bend, stoop, kneel, lift overhead, work at heights, walk/work in rough terrain in order to access equipment, tools, materials, and job site in order to complete work. 10. Must be able to work the hours necessary in order to achieve the goals of the company. THE WORK ENVIRONMENT The main reporting location for work will be at ECA Jobsites. In addition, the position will be required to travel to any job site where needed so out of state travel is mandatory. Job sites, because they are not shielded from the weather, can include excessive heat, cold, wind, rain and other weather-related aspects. General Construction Laborers are required to work outside in all kinds of weather or in buildings without heating or air conditioning. At times, work will be conducted on uneven terrain, at heights and near/over water. Some tasks are dangerous, including walking up and down slopes in inclement weather.
